A KEPT WOMAN
The Lord has wrapped His arms around me,
giving me comfort, insight, emotional strength.
You, my wise earth angels, are the ones who spoke for Him,
as if His words came through you.
How do people survive without Him??
I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH SUCH CHRIST-LIKE FRIENDS!
I Am a ' Kept ' Woman!!
You see, there were a few times
when I thought I would lose my mind,
But GOD KEPT me sane.
(Isa. 26:3) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.
There were times when I thought
I could go no longer,
But the LORD KEPT me moving.
(Gen 28:15) And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

At times, I've wanted to lash out
at those whom I felt had done me wrong,
But the LORD KEPT my mouth shut..
(Psalms 13:2-3) They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. 3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough,
But GOD has helped me to KEEP the lights on,
the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc..,
(Matt. 6:25 -34) 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
When I thought I would fall,
HE KEPT me up.
When I thought I was weak,
HE KEPT me strong!
I Pet. 5:7, Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Matt. 11:28-30 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light
I could go on and on and on,
but I'm sure you hear me!

God knows how to take care of us. It is we who are worried because we want as per our wish. If we listen/accept God's wishes we will be happy always.

Hobo and Tuti, thanks. I am feeling better now, and getting guidance about this situation and that He loves me and this is for my best. It's just hard to let go of 6 years of plans for my whole future. I am ok with God's decision, I just am grieving some losses.

Hi Sheila - I just checked in here at your blog tonight to see if you had any news. You write more calmly - makes me know that God has come in to speak to your heart. A grieving heart, yes, but His heart and your heart joining to see together.
That is what I sense and what I pray. I know He is still working out all of your cares and all of "our" cares - the ones that each of us carry. I suppose that is the key - we try and carry them and He says, "Hand them over to Me." BUT I thought I had!
Bless you - just talked myself into needing to hand over some of my own cares to Him.

I was so astonished by the title of the post. I thought kept woman was a concubine. Kept woman here is a woman protected and cared for by the Lord. Only you can make up such a beautiful and profound post such as this with corresponding Bible verses. You have truly been inspired by the Holy Spirit. Let the infinite will of the Lord be done in our lives. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

Sheila, this is so beautiful! I feel that the Lord is keeping us all, always, and in a way we are blessed when we are forced by desperate circumstances to reach out and hold on to that support...it takes someone like you to remind us of that truth!
